Croatia’s GO auctions sell 266,252 certificates, with wind leading volumes

Croatia’s latest guarantees-of-origin auctions sold renewable certificates at prices ranging from €1.55 to €2.06 per GO, offering a new market reference for corporate buyers and electricity suppliers seeking renewable-energy attributes. The auctions covered Croatian and imported certificates from wind, biomass and solar generation.

Held on 27 October through CROPEX’s trading platform, the sales were conducted in six parallel sessions. The sessions covered wind, biomass and solar certificates. The newsletter reported total sales of 266,252 GOs.

Wind, biomass and solar auction results

The largest transaction was the sale by HROTE of 203,752 guarantees of origin from Croatian wind generation in the third quarter of 2026, at €1.60 per GO. HROTE also sold 47,377 biomass GOs. Those certificates cleared at €1.61 each.

ENNA Next sold 6,791 German wind GOs for generation from June through September at the session’s highest price, €2.06 per GO. The company also sold 6,063 solar GOs at €1.55 each. Its sale included 997 biomass GOs at €1.60 each.

KOER offered 1,271 solar GOs covering September production, which cleared at €1.56. The relatively narrow pricing range for Croatian wind, solar and biomass certificates points to a liquid renewable-attribute market, with only modest price premiums between technologies. Imported German wind certificates cleared materially higher, suggesting that origin and buyer preference can still create distinct value within the broader GO market.
