In April 2026, a total of 1,179,096.4 MWh of electricity was traded on the Croatian power exchange CROPEX, marking an increase of 19.1% compared to March. Of this total, 913,476.3 MWh was traded on the day-ahead market, while 265,620.1 MWh was recorded on the intraday market. Compared to the same month last year, total trading volume was higher by 20.1%, indicating continued growth in market activity.
The average daily baseload price on the day-ahead market in April stood at €90.42/MWh, reflecting a decline of 17.9% compared to the previous month. At the same time, the average euro-peak price dropped significantly to €58.66/MWh, which is 37.4% lower month-on-month, suggesting weaker pricing conditions during peak demand hours and reduced volatility in the peak segment.
On the intraday market, the average price in April was €87.55/MWh, representing a decrease of 20.3% compared to March. Overall, April data from CROPEX shows a combination of rising trading volumes and declining price levels across all major segments, reflecting shifting regional supply-demand dynamics and softer short-term market conditions.
