Electricity trading on the Croatian power exchange CROPEX reached 1,415,705.5 MWh in July 2026, rising 19.1% from May and 9.3% compared with July 2025.
The day-ahead market accounted for 1,018,681.1 MWh, while intraday trading contributed a further 397,024.4 MWh. Average daily trading volume on the day-ahead market stood at 32,860.7 MWh.
The average day-ahead baseload price increased by 2.6% month on month to €118.89/MWh. Meanwhile, the average Euro-peak price dropped sharply by 65.3% to €87/MWh. On the intraday market, the average price reached €118.74/MWh, down 1.3% from June.
CROPEX started operations on 11 March 2016 in cooperation with Nord Pool. The exchange is jointly owned by Croatian transmission system operator HOPS and electricity market operator HROTE.
Intraday trading was introduced in April 2017, while the Croatian day-ahead market was coupled with the Multi-Regional Coupling (MRC) area through the Croatia-Slovenia border on 19 June 2018.
